Isabel Klee in conversation with Kristin Davis

Live Talks Los Angeles

May 2026

As the Technical Theater Coordinator, I provided comprehensive technical support for a Live Talks Los Angeles event featuring bestselling author Isabel Klee in conversation with acclaimed Hollywood actress Kristin Davis. The event celebrated the release of Dogs, Boys, and Other Things I've Cried About: A Memoir, bringing together the author and one of the book's most passionate supporters for an intimate live discussion with a full audience.

My responsibilities encompassed lighting, audio, stage setup, event coordination, and post-event strike, ensuring every aspect of the production operated seamlessly from load-in to load-out. Working closely with the event organizers, venue staff, and production personnel, I helped create a welcoming and technically polished environment that allowed both speakers to focus entirely on the conversation while delivering a comfortable and engaging experience for the audience.

Unlike traditional theatrical productions, live conversation events demand precise technical execution that remains virtually invisible to both the audience and the presenters. Careful attention was given to speech intelligibility, stage aesthetics, lighting balance, and efficient backstage coordination, ensuring the event maintained a professional atmosphere while adapting smoothly to the dynamic nature of a live interview.
